On Friday, the cast of "Jesus Christ Superstar" will take the stage of the Hollywood Bowl without Josh Gad.
The actor announced on Thursday that he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and would not be performing as King Herod.
But as they say, the show must go on, and another star has been tapped to don the crown.
Actor John Stamos revealed in a post on Instagram that he's going to step in.
"Well… this weekend just got Biblical," he wrote in the caption alongside a photo of him at rehearsal. "I’m stepping in as King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, starring the brilliant Cynthia Erivo. King Josh Gad unexpectedly got hit with COVID (feel better soon, brother!)and while I didn’t push him down the stairs, I am grateful for the chance to step into the gold lamé."
