Jon Konen steered Corvallis through the pandemic as superintendent and he’s back in the driver’s seat, but this time in Stevensville.

Konen is taking over for Dave Thennis, who left the position in Stevensville to take over leadership in Hamilton this upcoming school year.

One of the main reasons Konen applied for the job was because of the direction Thennis had been taking the district over the last three years.

“I want to kind of take a lot of that vision forward,” Konen said.

Thennis said it was a difficult decision to leave the district, but he is excited for Konen and the rest of the staff.
