OVERTON CO., Tenn. (WSMV) - A joint investigation is underway after a body was found in a burning refrigerator on the side of a Tennessee road on Thursday.

The Overton County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a report of a refrigerator on fire on the side of Sunk Cane Road in the early morning hours of Thursday.

Upon arrival, deputies found a body in the burning refrigerator.

Additional detectives and agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene.
