Talk about a homecoming concert! SiR brought the entire Los Angeles community out to his Hollywood Bowl concert, part of the Bowl’s KCRW Festival. Featuring opener Leon Thomas with guest appearances by Ty Dolla $ign and Jill Scott herself, this concert was a celebration of Black joy, Black music and Black community. As the sun set and SiR took to the stage, it felt like a family reunion with the amount of daps and hugs being delivered left and right. With the perfect venue, the perfect opener and the perfect tribute to Sir’s late mother, Ms. Jackie Gouche, this show was a recipe for success all around. More than a concert, it was a community rallying around one of their hometown heroes.
