2 die in separate motorcycle crashes on Hover Street in Longmont

Two people died in unrelated Hover Street motorcycle crashes on Wednesday night, according to Longmont public information officer Rogelio Mares.

At 8:29 p.m., a motorcycle and a vehicle collided at Ken Pratt Boulevard and Hover Street. One of the people involved in this crash died, but Mares did not say whether it was the motorist or the motorcyclist.

At 9:05 p.m., another motorcycle crashed at Colorado 66 and Hover Street. That motorcyclist died.

Both of the people who died were pronounced dead at a hospital.

In both instances, roadways were closed briefly, Mares said.

Both crashes are under investigation. The Boulder County Coroner will identify the people who died and determine cause and manner of death.
