U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley’s proposal to provide rebate checks from President Trump’s tariffs has now been officially filed . He laid out details of the bill in an interview with Missourinet.
“(It would be) $600 per individual, so $1,200 per couple. If you’ve got a couple of kids, $2,400 for a family,” Hawley said. “It would be for blue collar people, so it would phase out (for higher income people). The wealthy wouldn’t get it. Elon Musk, he doesn’t need it. So wealthy folks, they won’t get it, but it would be (for) working class people.”
