A shooting at an Anaconda bar on Friday resulted in at least four fatalities and a suspect was still on the run a few hours later, authorities said. The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown of Anaconda.

The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Owl Bar at 819 E. 3rd St., the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation said in a news release. Brown lived in a house next door to the bar, authorities said.

"Four people have been pronounced dead, and the scene is secure," Montana DCI said. "This is an active investigation, and more information will be shared when available."
