TEXARKANA, Texas - The Place To Be With Patrick is at Red River Credit Union for its back to school event.

RRCU is organizing a free car seat safety check, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation. The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Red River Credit Union, located at 4405 Summerhill Rd. in Texarkana.

RRCU Financial Services will distribute school supplies to attendees while supplies last.

Only Texas residents with a child present, or an expecting parent at 38 weeks or more, are eligible to receive a replacement or provided car seat. The Texas Department of Transportation can inspect car seats for non-residents, but no replacements or seats will be issued.
