MINNEAPOLIS — Dozens of passengers and crew members were transported to Twin Cities hospitals after a Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam was diverted to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday night due to significant turbulence.

The Delta Airbus A330-900 landed safely at around 7:50 p.m., and an army of medical personnel and first responders were waiting to evaluate passengers and crew. Delta confirms that 25 people on board were transported to hospitals for "evaluation and care."

At this point, there is no word on the extent or seriousness of the injuries suffered by those on board.
