Jimmy Buffett’s death on Sept. 1, 2023 was certainly an end — but not the end of Margaritaville.

The members of his Coral Reefer Band have stayed together since then, playing sporadically for Buffett’s legion of Parrothead fans — including at the Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett concert at the Hollywood Bowl during April of 2024 and at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival a month later. The 13-member lineup includes mainstays like Mac McAnally, Nadirah Shakoor, Doyle Grisham, Robert Greenidge and Eric Darken, while Buffett songwriting collaborators Will Kimbrough and Scotty Emerick have joined to share lead vocals with McAnally and Shakoor.

The group launches its first proper tour by hitting the road with the Doobie Brothers on Aug. 4 at the Pine Knob Music Theatre. T
