3 p.m. -- It was unfortunately a short stay for Parris Campbell in a Cowboys' uniform.

Signed to a one-year deal this offseason to compete in training camp for a possible roster spot, the veteran wideout suffered an injury in late July that saw him helped off of the practice field, not to return.

He was eventually moved to injured reserve to begin the month of August and, days later, was waived with an injury settlement.

Being placed on IR in training camp meant Campbell would not have taken the field for the Cowboys in 2025, an issue exacerbated by the fact he isn't under contract for 2026.
