SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – When he isn't "workin' his shoulders," Zildjian Barton, aka Big Fella Zil, is working to build one of many business or youth-focused community endeavors.

Zil is a serial entrepreneur who discovered his gift for marketing and promoting as a teen. Being born in February, Zil said the traditionally cold, wet weather early in the year made conditions for a party uncomfortable, but he wanted a party for his birthday and set out to make it happen.

"When I was turning 16, I told my mom I wanted a party. So I threw a party. And ever since then, I guess the marketing and promoting, like, if you know how to market and promote, you really can do whatever you put your mind to."
