Thursday morning, 10 kids and a handful of adults were riding the Red Rocks Trails off of Northern Drive. For about half of the children, it was their first time riding a bike that had more than one gear.

They were participating in the first ever Primetime Bike Camp, led by James Greer, owner of Primetime Paintball and The Bicycle Shop, in partnership with the Campbell County Recreation Center.

Greer even delayed opening his store for a few hours that day so he and his staff could help run the camp.

Greer has worked with the Rec Center throughout the years to put on paintball camps, skateboard camps and scooter camps. Emily Moore, the Rec Center’s intramural program supervisor, said a bicycle camp had been on her to-do list for years, and this year she was able to make it happen.
