Japan’s Miyu Yamashita has her first major title after holding off crowd-favorite Charley Hull to win the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl . Her two-under 70 in high winds Sunday was good enough for a two-shot win over Hull fellow Japanese pro Minami Katsu.

Yamashita’s win continues what’s been a dominant year for both her main sponsor, Cleveland/Srixon and her putter, the TaylorMade Spider.

Cleveland/Srixon has now won the season’s last two LPGA majors after Grace Kim won the Evian Championship last month, and the company also has several big victories on the PGA Tour this year, including J.J. Spaun’s U.S. Open title . Srixon long irons were also in Scottie Scheffler’s bag for both his PGA and Open Championship wins.
