Rapper Soulja Boy was arrested in Los Angeles Sunday on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a gun.
The rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over by police Sunday morning in the Melrose area, NBC4 reported.
According to Los Angeles County inmate records, Way was arrested by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire station at 2:50 a.m., booked at 6:18 a.m. and was being held at the LAPD Jail Division.
No further information about the arrest was immediately available.
