SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Diamondbacks looked to walk away with a series win against the Athletics on Sunday afternoon and did so with a 6-4 win.

Early into the game, they had a chance to take a big lead with Jose Herrera at the plate. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the second, he tacked a line out into right field but it was deep enough into the field to plate recently-acquired first baseman Tyler Locklear.

Later on in the same inning, Corbin Carroll flared the ball into shallow right center into no-mans-land, allowing Alek Thomas to cross score and give the D-backs a 3-0 lead. With the hit, Carroll registered his 53rd RBI on the season.
