Garfield County authorities have issued an evacuation order for residents in an area near Carbondale for another wildfire burning in western Colorado.
Dubbed as the "Ranch at Coulter Creek" fire, the blaze grew north of Panorama Drive below the Ranch at Coulter Creek subdivision Sunday afternoon.
The Garfield County Sheriff's Office issued the evacuation order for residences in the Panorama subdivision and areas east of County Road 100 to Upper Cattle Creek Road, according to the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District.
Officials urge everyone to avoid the area of County Road 100, County Road 115, County Road 113 and the Missouri Heights area to allow firefighters to work.
Crews on the ground and in the air continue to battle the blaze, which is threatening structures in the area,
