SSI, which is managed by the Social Security Administration, provides monthly funds to qualifying people whose income and resources (such as vehicles or money in their bank accounts) are limited, according to the SSA .
Payments for August are set for Friday, Aug. 1.
But due to how the payment schedule works, another SSI payment is scheduled for Aug. 29. That payment is for September, so SSI recipients shouldn’t expect to see a SSI payment during the actual month of September as they’ll be receiving it later this month.
But if you also receive Social Security, expect three checks this month.
