NASHVILLE, Tn. - A pair of ArkLaTex music legends came together to make their debut on one of entertainment's most famous stages.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Bobby Rush took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry Saturday in Nashville.

The duo received two standing ovations for their performance as part of the venue's 100th anniversary celebration.

Shepherd was born in Shreveport, and Rush is from Homer. The two were born 40 miles and 43 years apart, but their love of the blues bridges the generation gap.

The two are touring the nation in support of their new album "Young Fashioned Ways," one of the top selling blues albums of 2025.
