While Bill Belichick and North Carolina football are four weekends away from the start of the 2025 college football season, the Tar Heels ' first-year coach and his staff are still adding to their future depth chart.

On Friday, Aug. 1, the Belichick and Co. flipped 2026 four-star tight end recruit Carson Sneed — the No. 18-ranked tight end in the class by 247Sports Composite — from Tennessee. He originally committed to the Vols in August 2024.

"About two days ago, I called North Carolina and told them I'm ready to come there," Sneed told The Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Sports Network, on when he decided to change his commitment.
