Nancy Mace has launched her campaign for South Carolina governor, joining several prominent Republicans who will bid to replace Henry McMaster.

On Monday morning, Mace, 47, posted a video to her website titled "Nancy Mace for Governor," showing news clips featuring some of her recent speeches.

"I'm running to put South Carolina first," she told Fox News . "We can continue doing the things we've always done... Or we can chart a new course – one filled with common sense and bold policies to hold the line for South Carolina."

The Republican primary field for South Carolina governor already includes Representative Ralph Norman, State Attorney General Alan Wilson, Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette and State Senator Josh Kimbrell.
