INDIANAPOLIS -- A Kokomo woman who pleaded guilty to animal crushing in November 2021 is returning to prison.

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana. 24-year-old Krystal Scott was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after she pleaded guilty to violating conditions of her previous supervised release.

In late June, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found Scott with 12 cats and dogs in a feces-filled U-Haul. According to previous reports, the animals were dehydrated and their bodies were reportedly in "low condition."
