The Hill Country Community Theatre closes its Season 39 with the musical revue “Forever Plaid,” which runs Aug. 15-24. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the nonprofit theater, 4003 FM 2147 West in Cottonwood Shores. Tickets go on sale at noon Monday, Aug. 4.
“Forever Plaid” is a nostalgic, toe-tapping tribute to the close-harmony “guy groups” of the 1950s, according to an HCCT media release announcing ticket sales. The story follows a semi-professional quartet—Francis, Jinx, Smudge, and Sparky—who are miraculously given the chance to return to Earth for one last concert after a tragic accident cut their musical dreams short.
