FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

The Patriots will be facing off against the Washington Commanders on Friday for the first game of the 2025 preseason at Gillette Stadium.

It will mark a special occasion for the franchise, which will be honoring the greatest player in team history, Tom Brady.

Patriots leaders, including Robert Kraft, are expected to speak before the game.

The brass statue depicting Brady will be unveiled at 6 p.m.

On Friday, a special edition of News 9 will air at 7 p.m. and will include the day's news, weather and Patriots pregame coverage. Then, stay tuned to WMUR for the game at 7:30 p.m.
