GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida soccer opened 2025 exhibition action on Sunday with a 1-0 win over Florida Atlantic at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.

This was the first Gator athletic event of the 2025-26 season. Preseason training started on Tuesday.

Sophomore Ryleigh Acosta scored the opening goal in the second period.

“Lauren (McCloskey) played Tatum a through ball. Tatum took the player on and then crossed it,” Acosta said. “I was hauling to get back there and I got to it at the right time to finish it in the goal. It was a really good ball by Tatum.”
