DES MOINES, Iowa —

The 2025 preseason college football coaches' poll was released Monday, just a few weeks ahead of Iowa State and Kansas State kicking off the season in Ireland .

The Cyclones found themselves on the list. Iowa was among the unranked teams receiving the most votes.

Six Big Ten teams and five Big 12 teams made the top 25.

Iowa State kicks off the season against No. 20 Kansas State. It will also play No. 11 Arizona State and No. 23 BYU later in the year.

The Hawkeyes will host two teams in the top 10 — No. 3 Penn State and No. 7 Oregon — along with a road trip to Iowa State and a home game vs. No. 19 Indiana.
