A 54-year-old Slate Belt man was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in East Bangor, authorities said.

The Northampton County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as 54-year-old Teddy Elphick of Pen Argyl. Elphick died as the result of multiple blunt force injuries due to the accident and the death was ruled accidental by Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek.

The accident happened sometime Saturday in the 200 block of East Central Avenue. Elphick died at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson in Bethlehem Township, the coroner said.

It’s unclear what led up to the collision.

East Bangor Police Chief Robert Mulligan couldn’t immediately be reached for more details.
