Minnesotans can take a deep breath knowing the state’s “record-long 6-day Air Quality Alert has finally been canceled,” KARE 11 writes. The Canadian wildfire smoke that clouded Minnesotan skies is making its way to Wisconsin.
Our state isn’t out of the woods just yet, though. “Parts of eastern Minnesota remain in the ‘unhealthy for sensitive groups’ category due to pockets of heavy smoke that remain, and another Air Quality Alert might be issued later Monday or Tuesday.”
Sahan Journal reports: “Haitian Minnesotans are losing important legal status and the right to work in the United States after President Donald Trump’s administration canceled humanitarian parole and moves to end Temporary Protected Status. Roughly 80 Haitians were laid off from a meat packing plant in Long Prairie.”
