Erie, Pa (WJET/WFXP)-- Police in Millcreek Township are asking the public to be on the lookout for a man accused of kidnapping his biological daughter from his ex-wife's home on Sunday.

Police said 39-year-old Jafar Almaarej of Dearborn, MI, took the 7-year-old girl from her home in Millcreek Township around 2:30 Sunday afternoon while her mother was at work and is believed to be fleeing back to Michigan.

He was last seen driving a black Jeep Wrangler with a Michigan license plate reading 050G994.

According to the criminal complaint, Almaarej sent a text to the girl's mother saying that if she contacted law enforcement, they would have to "search for their bones" before turning off his phone.

Almaarej already had an order of protection against him for both his ex-wife and daughter.
