ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Langston name in Rochester is most commonly associated with WDKX-103.9 FM, the state's only Black family-owned radio station. By the time she was five years old, Andria Boyde Langston was helping out at the station her grandfather, Andrew Langston, founded in 1974. Now, she's celebrating a new milestone.
This Thursday, Langston’s first lead role in a feature film premieres on BET+. "Peripheral" is a psychological sci-fi thriller that follows Sasha Warwick as she and her husband Ramone move to a remote Arizona town.
“All types of strange things start happening. Sasha has to realize what’s reality and what’s in her head. It will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat,” Langston explains.
