A CELEBRATED pub in the Cotswolds has been bought by a new owner for a high price.

The Horse and Groom in Upper Oddington near Stow-on-the-Wold has been acquired by an unnamed buyer from an asking price of £1.5 million.

The sale was handled by the hotels team at professional services and investment management company Colliers.

It marks another sale handled for vendors by Peter Brunt, director at Colliers, hot on the heels of the recent sale of the 66-bedroom Kings Head in Cirencester’s Market Place.

This follows deals on the Shaven Crown in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Burford Lodge Hotel in Burford, Russell’s of Broadway, The Fox in Lower Oddington and The Three Horseshoes in Asthall, plus others in previous years.
