A firm has won a contract to build a larger storage compound in a cemetery.
Landbuild Ltd will construct the new facility at Mill Lane Cemetery in Shoreham after winning a competitive bidding process.
The compound will be used to house equipment and storage containers, featuring an extended hardstanding area, surface water drainage and perimeter fencing.
The contract is valued at £41,879.59.
The decision was made by the Assistant Director of Operations and Sustainability following a formal procurement exercise.
The new compound aims to provide more space for the cemetery's groundskeepers.
Initially, a storage building was considered but was deemed too costly for the available budget.
Instead, a more budget-friendly option was chosen and procured.
