There is nothing quite like Brighton Pride.
This year felt more momentous than ever and our city stood up to be counted, invoking this year’s theme of Ravishing Rage to protest, celebrate and stand in solidarity with our LGBTQI+ residents.
The parade was stunning. Thousands of marchers including large numbers of public sector workers, including the council’s LGBTQI+ forum, anchor institutions like Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club and diverse partners from Girl Guiding to the LGBTQI+ rugby team the Sea Serpents, brought energy, flair and joy to onlookers. And the message was so strong and consistent – we stand united against efforts to divide and spread fear and hate.
