Venus Aerospace aims to power its hypersonic jet, Stargazer , with this breakthrough engine - promising New York to Paris flights in just 55 minutes as soon as the 2030s.

Texas-based startup Venus Aerospace launched a successful test flight of a small rocket - powered by a rotating detonation rocket engine (RDRE) - in New Mexico on May 14.
