Police arrested a man and a teenage boy for allegedly trying to burglarize a business at a Corte Madera mall.

The arrests happened early Friday morning at the Village at Corte Madera on Redwood Highway. Officers found an empty sedan with its engine running in a fire lane, Central Marin police Sgt. Jeff Peterson said.

Officers saw two suspects near a business. Peterson said they wore masks, hoods and sunglasses. One suspect allegedly tried to flee from officers.

Both suspects were detained and investigators used surveillance footage to connect them to the attempted break-in, Peterson reported. Police allege the suspects traveled in a stolen vehicle with two loaded handguns inside.
