The Department of Homeland Security has quietly updated its grant guidance to remove a controversial clause targeting boycotts of Israeli companies. The change was confirmed by a White House official to War Room correspondent Natalie Winters, who posted a screenshot showing the now-removed language.

The original guidance, flagged in a viral Community Note, had defined “boycott” as refusing to do business with companies “specifically with Israeli companies,” raising concerns that FEMA disaster relief could be denied to states or entities that supported the BDS movement, short for boycott, divestment, sanctions is a global campaign to pressure the Israeli government to comply with international law and respect Palestinian rights.
