MORNING HEADLINES | State Sen. Matt Leber, R-Charleston, is facing calls for his resignation following public allegations by his wife that he engaged in an extramarital affair with a paid Republican political consultant who worked on his campaign.

In a series of now-deleted Facebook posts over the weekend, Michele Leber accused her husband of engaging in an affair with longtime political consultant Rebecca Madsen. Matt Leber and Madsen were reportedly in Kentucky during the series of posts, which included images of conversations between Leber and Madsen.

Charleston Democrats seized on the opportunity to out Leber, who has been a lightning rod for controversy .
