The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) has called for the mid-cycle redistricting of congressional races, the first committee of the Democratic Party to officially declare war on Republican gerrymandering. The DLCC issued a statement calling on Democrats at the state level to use all available legislative authority to redistrict states to favor Democratic candidates, especially in battleground districts.

"The DLCC isn’t going to sit back and allow Republicans to cheat the system to keep themselves in power," DLCC President Heather Williams said. "All options must be on the table – including Democratic state legislatures using their power to fight back and pursue redistricting mid-cycle in order to protect our democracy."
