A Stuarts Draft teenager is in custody and a unidentified juvenile is in the hospital after authorities say a dispute between the two in the early hours of Saturday morning ended in a stabbing.

Nikolas Alexander Yale, 19, has been charged with felonious assault.

Augusta County sheriff's deputies were dispatched around 3:49 a.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Christians Creek Road just west of Fishersville. On the scene they reported finding a juvenile with multiple stab wounds to the torso and neck. The victim was transported to Augusta Health for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith said Yale and his victim knew each other and had been having a fight before the stabbing occurred.
