A Bridge of Allan road re-opened after a two year closure due to a collapsed wall there will remain open, but daily inspections on a section of the wall will be carried out until the final repair works are carried out. ‌

Residents last welcomed the reopening off Sunnylaw Road, which had been out of bounds since May 2023 after a section of a wall along the stretch collapsed. ‌

Frustrated locals had raised concerns over the length of time taken to re-open the route. ‌

However, following the streets' reopening last Thursday, locals noticed that repairs to a section of the wall have yet to be completed, sparking fears that the route may be closed again.

But Stirling Council this week confirmed that the route will remain open in the meantime, with repairs still to be finished.
