LOS ANGELES – A man believed to be in his 30s was shot and killed in the Westlake District early Tuesday morning, and an investigation of the shooting is underway.
Rampart Division officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were called at 3:01 a.m. to the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Westlake Avenue regarding a shooting.
When they arrived at the scene, officers found the victim lying near the intersection, according to an LAPD officer. The shooting occurred in front of the Yoshinoya, which was the scene of a mass shooting in January that left five injured.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Witnesses told police a poss
