ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) - Six individuals were arrested in the 2000 block of Levin Street on August 1, 2025, after numerous narcotic related community complaints. Rapides Area Drug Enforcement conducted a search warrant.

The Levin Street residence was subject to a search warrant in 2024 after Makari Cotton sold marijuana to an undercover police officer. Subsequently, Cotton received two years of supervised probation through the officers of Louisiana state probation and parole.

During their search, RADE agents learned Cotton, 20, of Alexandria, was taken into custody for violating the terms of his probation on the same day as the August 1st, Levin Street search.
