ALLEN PARK -- Sione Vaki has been back practicing after suffering a hamstring injury early in training camp, and expects to make his preseason debut this week against the Atlanta Falcons.

Vaki missed last week’s exhibition opener in the Hall of Fame Game against the Los Angeles Chargers. But after seeing his usage increase in back-to-back practices, including getting some work in the team’s physical Monday night practice, the second-year back and special teams ace is ready to go.

When asked by MLive if he expects to play in Friday’s preseason game in Atlanta, Vaki said, “Yeah. Yeah. That’s the plan, man.”
