INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston was just recognized with a very special honor.
She was named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 9.
This is the third time Boston has been named player of the week throughout her career.
The Fever said Boston scored three-consecutive double-doubles, averaging 16.7 points per game and 11.7 rebounds per game against the Phoenix Mercury, Dallas Wings and Seattle Storm.
Boston tallied 22 points against Mercury; 12 points, 11 rebounds and five assists against Dallas; and 16 points and 12 rebounds against Seattle.
Boston currently has the fourth-highest field goal percentage in the league this season. In addition, she is leading all centers in the WNBA with 109 assists.
