Voter registration deadlines are approaching for eligible voters who want to participate in the September, October and November municipal elections.

Here are the registration deadlines for Mecklenburg County. • 5 p.m. Friday, August 15, for municipal elections on September 9. • 5 p.m. Friday, September 12, for municipal elections on October 7. • 5 p.m. Friday, October 10, for municipal elections on November 4.

Under state law, the regular voter registration deadline is 25 days before an election.
