Keke Palmer doesn’t just show out on her new comedy; she showed up to work with one of the greatest comedic minds of our time: Eddie Murphy.
“Vampires in Brooklyn, that was a good one,” she exclaimed while talking about their new comedy caper, The Pickup. Her spot-on impression left Murphy in stitches. Palmer plays Zoe, a woman who hijacks an armored delivery truck, driven by Murphy and co-star Pete Davidson. “This character’s a villain, but she has an origin story, as we all do. I had the fun of being able to be the straight man in between all of their stuff.”
Davidson is on the same page as Palmer when it comes to working with his fellow SNL alum. “I got the DVD of Delirious when I was seven. They had an Eddie Murphy section and I just pulled the movie ’cause it looked so cool.”
