Kent-based Blue Origin successfully completed its 14th human spaceflight and the 34th flight for the New Shepard program on Aug. 3 in West Texas.
New Shepard has flown 75 people into space, including five people who have flown twice, according to a Blue Origin email.
The crew:
• Justin Sun, a cryptocurrency billionaire. Sun, born in China, in 2021 placed the winning bid for the first seat on New Shepard but wasn’t able to fly at the time. The $28 million in proceeds from the bid were donated to Blue Origin’s foundation, Club for the Future, according to the company.
