A bicyclist was unconscious after an early morning crash and transported to a Valley hospital with what appeared to be serious, life-threatening injuries.

Glendale Police responted to a collision between a car and bicycle near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5.

According to the police report, the bicyclist was traveling on the sidewalk eastbound when it entered the second lane of the roadway and was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound in the same lane.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene.
