BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) - Rookie Shedeur Sanders will start at quarterback for the Browns in Friday night's preseason opener against Carolina.

Fellow quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel are both nursing hamstring injuries and are not expected to play.

Veteran Joe Flacco is also not expected to play against the Panthers, while newly-signed Tyler Huntley will likely see action.

The Browns and Panthers will kick off at 7 p.m., Friday, on WYTV-33.
