(NEXSTAR) — A new streaming platform has entered the chat.

On Tuesday, streaming/electronics giant Roku unveiled its new streaming service Howdy, which the company says offers no advertisements ("always ad-free") and costs $2.99 per month. While the low price point may tempt some new customers, there's one limit to who can use Howdy right now.

Howdy's currently only available to Roku device users, through the company's electronic devices, online at The Roku Channel or through the Roku mobile app.
